New findings suggest that boosting weekly moderate activity to about five hours significantly lowers the risk of hypertension later in life. The study tracked more than 5,000 adults for three decades and found that sustained, higher levels of activity reduced high blood pressure, especially when begun in early adulthood and carried into later years.
