Despite numerous consultations, initial tests showing high protein levels in his urine led doctors away from diagnosing his cardiac struggles. The diagnosis only came after his admission to Qilu Hospital’s emergency department, where doctors identified the rupture likely precipitated by “strenuous exercise” following his alcohol consumption, according to their publication in the Journal of Medical Case Reports.
